How to Use Payfixation.gov.bd: A Step-by-Step Guide for Employees and Pensioners

Learn how to log in, check your pay fixation status, and understand the process for annual increments and pension re-determination on the official portal.

Getting Started with Payfixation.gov.bd

The payfixation.gov.bd portal is designed to simplify salary and pension management for over 1.4 million active government employees and 900,000 pensioners in Bangladesh. This guide walks you through the essential steps to access and use the system effectively.

Step 1: Prepare Your Credentials

To log in, you will need your 17-digit National ID (NID) number and a verification code (usually sent to your registered mobile number). Ensure your NID is updated and linked to your employee or pensioner record. If you are a pensioner, also have your PPO (Pension Payment Order) book handy, as the PPO number may be required for certain queries.

Step 2: Access the Portal

Open your web browser and go to payfixation.gov.bd. The homepage is in Bengali, but key fields are labeled bilingually. Click on the login button (প্রবেশ করুন).

Step 3: Log In and Navigate

  • Enter your 17-digit NID in the first field.
  • Enter the verification code displayed on the screen or sent via SMS.
  • Click 'Submit' (জমা দিন).

Once logged in, you will see a dashboard with options like 'Pay Fixation Status' (বেতন নির্ধারণের অবস্থা), 'Annual Increment' (বার্ষিক বৃদ্ধি), and 'Pension Re-fixation' (পেনশন পুনর্নির্ধারণ).

Step 4: Check Your Pay Fixation Details

Click on 'Pay Fixation Status' to view your current basic pay, grade, scale, and the date of your last fixation. The system automatically calculates increments effective July 1st each year. If you notice any discrepancy, contact your respective accounts office before the next increment cycle.

Step 5: For Pensioners – Re-fixation Process

Pensioners must visit their accounts office with their NID, PPO book, and mobile number. The office will upload the data to the portal. Once processed, you will receive an SMS confirmation, and the pension amount will be disbursed via Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) directly to your bank account. You can track the status on the portal using your NID.

Troubleshooting Tips

If you face login issues, ensure your NID is correctly entered (no spaces). If the verification code fails, request a new one. For persistent problems, contact the Finance Division's helpdesk through the portal's support section.
